Another win!!!!

Our combined team of ANCC & Molex players defeated the Lucent Dragons, and did it with a score of 5-1.

The Dragons are a good team, and out of 7 boards played, 6 out of our 7 players were playing an opponent that was higher rated; in some cases the opponent was significantly higher - 150pts+ higher.  They were great games, closely played, and the outcomes not clear until the end!  But our players came through and won decisively.  In the one loss, the player lamented the fact they missed a King & Queen fork, in the middle of their game, which would have obviously changed the dynamic of the game.  Board 7 came away with a draw, in a good game where again, our player was playing a higher rated player.  Another of our boards was a game where time controls came into play, with both players low on time at the end of stage 1, and the game in a difficult position.

In all, it was a great performance from our team. You want to see more specifics?  ..... I will be putting all the games notations on the appropriate tab on this web page : under cicl news.  I hope to have the first game up on this site by this evening ( 27 Jan.) with the other games soon following!!!

AGAIN CONGRATS TO ANCC & MOLEX PLAYERS.  A JOB WELL DONE!!!

Darin, for the ANCC
